Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano Festival 2011!
The episode Passarim, Passarinhando has been officially selected as one of the finalists of the Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano Festival held from the 14th – 16th of June in São Paulo, Brasil. We will compete in the up to 6 yrs old non-fiction category.
The Prix Jeunesse Foundation promotes quality in children’s television worldwide. It organizes a bi-annual Festival, the Prix Jeunesse International, held in Munich, Germany, which awards the world’s best TV Programs for Children and Youth. It also engages producers and broadcasters in hands-on workshop and other partnerships for excellence. The Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano, which is also bi-annual, awards productions, nominated from Latin American and Ibero-American countries, that contribute to the excellence in Children’s series and programs within the Latin American cultural context. The festival has support from the Prix Jeunesse Foundation, Goethe Institut in collaboration with Unicef, UNESCO, Ministry of Culture – Brasil, CCE SP Spanish Cultural Center, among others. Workshop participants in this year’s festival include: Dr. Maya Goetz (director Prix Jeunesse Foundation, IZI, Germany), Silvia Lovato (PBS, PBS kids go!, USA), Lawrence S. Mirkin (Mirkin Creative, Canada) among others.
