Juliana Lima Dehne is a Brazilian-American award-winning screenwriter, a creative producer and recipient of the prestigious 2010 VGF-Grant from the Film Center at the Bavaria Film Studios in Munich, Germany where she presently resides. After working in various film and television departments, in the American, Brazilian and European markets, Juliana produced and co-wrote the successful Brazilian series “Learning to Read through Cultural Roots”© (Interalia), which starred Cannes Palmes d’Or nominated actress Clara Choveaux and was selected as top learning material by the Brazilian Ministry of Education in 2011. In 2013, Juliana won Best Screenplay for “Over Lunch” (Dehne Lima Film/ ARRI) at the LYSFF (USA) and was awarded screenplay development funds by BLS (Italy) for the feature film “…of Apples and Grapes” (DRIFE Filmproduktion). Juliana attended the Sorbonne in Paris and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City. Recently, Juliana had the gratifying opportunity to study under the tutelage of great writers/producers such as Jane Espenson (Once Upon a Time, Buffy), Frank Spotnitz (X-Files, The Man in the High Castle), Morgan Gendel (Law & Order, Star Trek: Next Generation) and Lisa Albert (Mad Men), among others at the ifs. Juliana currently works for various prominent German production companies in series development for the European and International markets as well as on her own television and SVOD series projects.
